Martin Price (hacks the wyrm) where did i leave off, so much has happened that it seems like ages since i last recorded my thoughts. thats it returning to my pack. i slipped across the gauntlet not wanting to disturb the guards again, what a mistake that nearly was, running through the umbra, it always surprises me how similar and yet how different the words are. The docks were no different, somehow i got lost in amoungst the werehouses, some where along the way i must have passed from the umbra to some other spirit world, a world of pollution and damage, it was clear this was human damage, i could finally understand some of the other tribes anger towards humans. Never the less i managed to retrace my steps and eventually found my self at the dock, slipping across the gauntlet once more i was able to see the ship, on which my pack were just finishing up a fight with some wyrm spawned monsters. unsure what to do next we gathered up the offending relics and left, grey paw arranging transport for us in the umbra on a boat provided by one of the city fathers, we now owe him a favour but our escape is assured.
Well, that was interesting. Lots of nasties happening, but then again, what can you expect? Used a Gift to open crate and peered in. Guess what? Was jumped by Cannibal Pygmies! 2 got on me and boy were they tough! had to slice at them a good 3 or 4 times with my glaive before i could do any damage. Fortunately,
Grey Paw realised they had some mystic Voodoo stuff and might have some weaknesses inside the crate, so we both got there, I threw fire in to light stuff up and grey paw slashed at some stuff on the walls. The Pygmies died soon after, but we had to rush to get the crates of relics out. Then, I was attacked by this crazed Scottish seaman. Was going to go into the duelling pose No42, but Grey Paw grabbed me and threw me overboard. Long story short, I got the Scotsman to something solid to float on and i got into a boat the others had laden with our stuff. Grey Paw then brought us plus the boat into the Umbra, but none ofus knew how to move a boat. Didnt know you could loose an oar so easily, so Grey Paw ended up summoning a spirit to help. We got a powerful spirit, who took us to land, in exchange for us telling some tourists how good New York is. not hard :3
Well, I feel so mortified. How could I have done such a thing? My only justification is that I got carried away in the heat of the moment, but that cannotbe acceptable. I killed people. I know that my packmates would say that they were cannibal pygmies, so what’s the big deal, but they’re people too. Just because their ways are strange to us is no reason to kill people. Fortunately I snapped out of it in time to avoid killing the poor accountant. For some reason, my companions found it funny to see the accountant chasing me – something about a Crinos Ahroun chasing a human then the situation being reversed. I’m not sure why they were humming the Keystone Cops theme though.
Fortunately, we succeeded in our mission, but I feel some time in contemplation and service to Gaia is needed to make up for my sins…
